Surrey Police covers the largest stretch of motorway of any force in the country. As unfortunate as it may be, dealing with road accidents forms a large part of our job, or at least taking measures to try and prevent them. Road accidents are the main cause of accidental death in Britain and in Surrey. An unpleasant statistic, but a fact nonetheless. It's also a fact that most accidents involve human error at some point in the event, and so could possibly be avoided. As drivers, we need to take greater care, to think ahead, and to be aware of the conditions around us. In doing so, we can help protect ourselves from the dangers of the road, and it is up to all of us as road users to ensure we take greater care. We want nothing more than to see road traffic accidents reduced. Here, we've provided some driving tips to help increase your road safety awareness.
