Surrey Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnerships
Surrey Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnerships are 11 borough/district groups of statutory agencies and other significant groups who are required to design and implement strategies to rescue crime and disorder and the misuse of drugs in their respective areas
Surrey Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements
Surrey Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) are designed to protect the public and manage the risk from violent, sexual and other dangerous offenders. In Surrey this is achieved by the Responsible Authority agencies - police, probation and prison services - working together with other agencies involved in public protection to assess and manage the risks posed by sexual and violent offenders living in the community. Other agencies that co-operate in MAPPA include youth offending teams, local education authorities, local housing authorities, social services and health services.

Independent Police Complaints Commission
In April 2004 a new Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) police complaints system was introduced in England and Wales. The new system is designed to raise standards, cut delays, increase public confidence and transform the way police forces handle complaints from the public.
